In today's widespread use of electronic equipment, semiconductor integrated circuits, as a core component, its stable operation is critical. Proper maintenance can extend their service life and safeguard equipment performance.
Environmental control is key. Semiconductor integrated circuits are sensitive to temperature and humidity. Working environment temperature should be maintained in the appropriate range, generally speaking, 15 - 35 ℃ is ideal. Too high a temperature may lead to chip overheating, so that the electron migration intensified, affecting the circuit performance or even cause permanent damage; and too low a temperature may trigger changes in the physical properties of some materials. Humidity, to be maintained at 40% - 60% relative humidity, too humid may trigger a short circuit, too dry is prone to static electricity.
Static protection should not be ignored. Integrated circuits are easily damaged by static electricity. Before contacting IC-related equipment, operators should discharge their own static electricity by wearing anti-static bracelets. The working area should be paved with anti-static mats and use anti-static tools such as anti-static tweezers. Use anti-static packaging when storing IC chips.
Regular cleaning is also necessary. Dust and other impurities may accumulate on the chip surface or at the pins, affecting heat dissipation and electrical connections. For cleanable devices, you can use professional electronic cleaning equipment, such as compressed air canisters to gently blow away dust, but pay attention to the pressure and distance to avoid physical damage to the chip.
During the operation of the equipment, avoid excessive electrical shocks. For example, when plugging and unplugging circuit boards containing integrated circuits, make sure that the equipment is in a power-off state. For long-term non-use of the equipment, but also to be regularly energized to check, to prevent performance degradation and other problems due to the electronic components for a long time static.
Correct maintenance measures can create a good working environment for semiconductor integrated circuits, reduce the probability of failure, so that electronic equipment based on integrated circuits more stable and reliable operation, for our work and life continue to serve.
